Binance has announced its decision to delist multiple TrueUSD (TUSD) trading pairs associated with Tron founder Justin Sun.
The exchange’s notice, published on March 13, outlined the removal of various TUSD pairs, including COMP/TUSD, EDU/TUSD, and PENDLE/TUSD. Binance will also delist BNB pairs for Arpa and EduCoin. These delistings are scheduled for March 15, 2024, at 3:00 am UTC.
Reasons for Delisting
Binance clarified that periodic delistings are part of efforts to safeguard users and uphold a high-quality trading environment. Factors contributing to delistings often include inadequate liquidity and trading volume. However, Binance emphasized that delisting a trading pair does not equate to the complete removal of the asset from the exchange.
Despite the delistings, TrueUSD will remain accessible on Binance through other trading pairs. Presently, TUSD is paired with major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Cardano, Avalanche, and Bitcoin Cash.
In addition to delisting trading pairs, Binance will discontinue spot trading bot services for the affected pairs on the same date and time. Users are advised to update or cancel their bots before the specified deadline to mitigate potential losses.
